This is a further note about the latest news about Dr. Kadivar’ situation.
Unfortunately, she is still in the jail. Obviously, it is an unfortunate that we are dealing with some people who have very poor understanding about ethics and human rights. In the court, we were brutalized with extreme insults by interrogators. They called it as ridiculous and nonsense to undergoing psychoanalysis only by talking! Despite knowing literally nothing about psychoanalysis, they kept commenting on this and making fun of us. Through such idle talks, they tried to persuade us that we are all psychosis. It was also claimed that Dr. Kadivar was making some noises like an animal in the court!! Then, all the guys were sent to a jail which was equipped with the least conditions for survival.
As I was informed, the jail where Dr. Kadivar is put in is of relatively similar poor environmental condition.
Every room was a quit small (3*3 m2) with no ventilation system which accommodated at least 12 people inside. There was a little toilet on the corner which smelled a bad sewer gas. Moreover, there was not water suitable for drinking. After spending this difficult time in that room, we got out of jail free(in the desert) sometime around 9 pm. Since we were out of the money, we had no idea to what to do or where to go, without any shoes and money!
Above all
Unfortunately, Dr. Kadivar is suffering from a pulmonary disease, and therefore we are extremely worried about her; as she is exposed to serious grave risks to her health and safety; because of all mistreatments and the jail condition.
In our country, the old and familiar story of psychoanalysis is just repeating; although in a ridiculously comic trajedic way.
In the time of Freud, the physicians made an attempt to exclusively possess the psychoanalysis, but in the present time, these are the physicians in Iran who claim that Dr. Kadivar is not eligible for doing psychoanalysis since she is the physician and so she must only do practice and work with somatic problems!!
Albeit this is only a pretext because just now, in iran there are the physicians that have called themselvse as psychoalalyst!! But the ministry of health does not stop them.

One of them said, send her to the van nothing will happen. Inevitably I lied that I was pregnant because I was sure I would die there. Then one of them said took her out.
After that I beg them to let them come out because they might be suffocated but they said do not worry.
Then I saw Dr. Kadivar on the floor and I tried to help her and I said she is the only analyst from the Black Sea to the China Sea, why are you behaving like this?
Then they handcuffed me and Dr. Kadivar so that they would transfer us to [somewhere else] .
They want to eliminate our country’s only psychoanalyst or accuse her of being a psychosis so that they would take psychoanalysis for themselves.

On Tuesday 14/06/2016 2 person from Treatment assistance of shahid Beheshty University with one of police personnel (Mrs. Zahra Aziz Mohammadi) came to Psychoanalytic Center of Tehran (Africa).
They wanted to espy there. They didn’t give Dr.Kadivar a copy of Search warrant.
The personnel of Treatment assistance of shahid Beheshty University called Mr. Kamran manesh and said him what happened. Then Mr. Kamran manesh talked with the personnel of police and she said him “ok. Don’t worry. I will do that.” Then Dr.Kadivar said her “you are personnel of police and get orders from Mr. Kamran manesh? An illegal action?”
Then Mohammadi called police and asked from a police car and a motorcycle. After a short time 3 man from police arrived. Then Mohammadi said them to search there. They wanted to take the phonebooks and documents of Freudian association. Dr.Kadivar and members of Freudian association didn’t let them and they handcuff to Afrooz Rakhsha (member of Freudian association) and then she opened it. They took photos from phonebook of analysand. Then all of people that were there (Dr.Kadivar and members of Freudian association, secretory and analysand) went to police station. When we were there all members of Freudian association arrived and then the Prosecutor said that, Dr.Kadivar and 2 of members of Freudian association go to Medical Crimes court with police car and the others go after them. when we arrived there they said that, Dr.Kadivar should go alone to visit interrogator. We said we are a NGO. We should go together. Then they wanted to force Dr.Kadivar to take her with handcuffs, with violence, and we didn’t let them. We said you need to have judicial verdict.
After that they said you can go to visit interrogator and when we were going again they insult us. We said we don’t go .then police incarcerate 3 person of us and we said together “free them” for about 45 minutes. They recorded video from us. They said we have mental health problem. After it they pushed us to parking with force and insult and they separated men of Freudian association and took them upstairs with beating. Then we said together that we want to visit interrogator. Why he doesn’t come?
After a short time they Pick-up us to Public Security police car with beating, insulting, threat with Electric Shockers and baton. They separated Dr.Kadivar from us. They didn’t give back our cellphone. They transferred us to Morality police in Vozoras Street. When we arrived there they said we should go to Temporary detention of women. We said for what? What is our crime? We didn’t go there and stayed in the yard. After about 2 hours Dr.Kadivar came with a police car and with handcuffs. They took her and the Analysis practitioners of Psychoanalytic Center of Tehran (Africa) to ask them some questions. But Dr.Kadivar didn’t answer them.
After that they asked our name to free us but they used it to write our detention. The responsible of that shift didn’t take us because they didn’t have any license. They called and spoke to some person and then they took us to detention and took Dr.Kadivar and Analysis practitioners of Psychoanalytic Center of Tehran (Africa) to jail in another place.
Next day they took us to Medical Crimes court with handcuffs. When we arrived there they asked us some questions and said us on paper that “we perpetrated these crimes: Disturbing public discipline, insult to Government staff and destruction of public property” while we didn’t do any of them. We just wanted to free our friends and visit Interrogator. At first they asked us a 30000000 and then a 40000000 tooman guaranty to free us. When our family came to free us they said them that we have strayed and we have made a new sect.
Finally they freed us on bail and freed men same day at night after beating them. And making backward for them. But Unfortunately Dr.Kadivar and Analysis practitioners of Psychoanalytic Center of Tehran (Africa) are still in jail.

Let me add some more points:
1- As it is a rule, we gave our cellphones to related person in Prosecutor’s Office and received receipts, so when we will leave we receive them back. But they refused giving our cellphones back.
On 15th of June we heard that interrogator told one of their staff that: “I did not order you “ not to give their cellphones back.” Why did you do so?”
2- Right now we have another complaint against minister of health related to their shameful acts against us in 7th and 8th of October 2016. And our withnesse should go to another Prosecutor’s Office this week.
3- The 2 inspectors that came to office of Freudian association , don’t come for inspection, they have a mission and aim, which is closing down this center by any means. And this inspection is just a cover for their aim.
Dr. Kadivar said once that every person that come to Africa Psychoanalytic Center, means one person is survived from mafia of psyche. Which is not a good thing for this mafia. So when their so-called inspectors come to Africa Psychoanalytic Center, they were willing to seize all the phone books, notebooks and etc. even they took photos from list of analysands!

1- We have a website that has been visited 2,922,275 times within exactly 2 years . People can find and read about “real psychoanalysis” here. So Sanati and his big big mafia team feel worried about it. Next morning police took our back to the medical crimes court.
Interrogator (Moteza Kiani) told me you came here and Illegally gathering up. You installed the officers and destroyed our stuff. I told him I don not accept non of these charges. I am not a physician and here is the medical crimes court And you are not qualified for this case. He asked why did you stop the inspectors of the ministry of health? I answered the duty of ministry of health is administration of Psychiatrists and physicians. He asked did they bring you here by force?
I said Dr. Kadivar is the president of the Freudian association and I am a member of the association. By now they brought the medical crimes court with a police officer. Interrogator told me Tehran’s prosecutor general knows every details about this case and I will shut down that office. The medical crimes court was shouting at me. I had a feeling that they aware of the Dr. Kadivar force hospitalization, all the mafia psy’s plan and it is just a show off to scare all the members to disband the Freudian Association. They warned our family about Dr. Kadivar and they said they are all hypnotized. They wanted to use family’s pressure on the members to stop them from being a member.
Interrogator told me Dr. Kadivar was here last night to midnight. Protested the Primary verdict. They released us guaranty and I protested the Primary verdict .
They threatened we shouldn’t show up here again otherwise they will take us to the jail.

Meanwhile police brought Dr. Kadivar to this police station. Dr. Kadivar requested a glass of water for eating her medicine; then they treated cruelly and ridiculed her. They scrunched her plastic glass in order to offend her. They (police and prosecuting attorney) held a session with her and her analysands-praticians. In the early hours of night they provided a warrant for arresting us and sending us to detention room this police station but a senior policewoman in this police station didn’t accept this warrant and didn’t let them to send us to detention roon on this police station. This conflict continued. Finally she accepted because they told her: “we send a real warrant in a few next hours.”!!! They sent eight of us to detention room on this police station. I forgot to tell you that Dr. Kadivar told the inspectors and the police woman that “you want to inspect the Africa Psychoanalytic Center from Ministry of Health but Freudian Association has the activity license from Ministry of Interior.” Police woman told “you are psychiatrist and they are your patients” but we said: “no, we are analysands and she is an analyst.”
We (3 police men+ a police woman+ 2 inspectors+ 4 analysands+ secretary+ Dr. Kadivar) leave Africa Psychoanalytic Center. Police take a taxi for us towards police station. And the members of Freudian Association arrived in same police station. We went inside and after a while the prosecutor told us that Dr. Kadivar with two other members should go to Medical Crimes Court and the other members go behind them and we do the same.
When we arrived in the Medical Crimes Court, they (the employees of Medical Crimes Court) told that just Dr. Kadivar could come in. and we said no, we are an Association and we just go together. Not alone. Then they close the interior doors and wanted to handcuff on Dr. Kadivar but we didn’t let them to do this.

On 15th of June, In “Prosecutor’s Office for Medical Crimes” we called our families to bring a guarantee to free us.
First they said that its value should be 30 million tomans, and for some of us, they prepared related documents for this amount, and some members signed their own papers. after a while they changed their minds and said it should be 40 million tomans (equals with about 11,764 $) so they tore the papers!! And replaced them with 40 million tomans guarantee papers and asked us to sign them.
They gathered members of families who went there, to disgrace Dr. Kadivar. They told families that dr. Kadivar is deceiving members of association. They pretended that she is making a sect. unbelievably they said families that maybe foreign broadcast come and talk to us, to members of Freudian association!!! They told that this judicial case has a bad effect for our future and unbelievably families really accepted what they said and now it is families who put members of Freudian association under pressure!
Prosecutor’s Office for Medical Crimes pretend that what they say and do is what the government says, but the truth is that this is Ministry of health, Minister of health (named Hashemi) and Mohammad Sanati (who did his best in 2013 to eliminate Dr. Kadivar physically) who are making this mess!
When the interrogator was talking to us, he was trying to say that you should be apart from association. He has even told some members: “do you receive money from there?” he was very sad and nervous when we talked together about their questions, or about our case and said ask me. I should tell you.
When they see that we, as members of Freudian association are with Dr. Kadivar and Freudian association, they want families to help them in a way to stop us from it. To leave our way , then dr . Kadivar be alone in this way. So they can do what she told us; “a second plan to eliminate her physically”

They took us to another detection but we said we do not go inside until all the members and Dr Kadivar come since what you are doing is illegally. We were so worried about Dr. Kadivar situation and we tried to have a connection with you with a tablet that we had with us secretly. After a long time they brought Dr. Kadivar with the other member with handcuff and police car. We could hear they were teasing Dr. Kadivar that have you had your drugs? (allusions to mental drugs). They took Dr Kadivar with the …….. for interrogation. Medical crimes prosecutor and investigator came there. I think Dr Kadivar told them you are not qualified to investigate this case. They kept eight of us in the detection whole the night and took Dr Kadivar with 4 others somewhere else.

This is Afrooz Masoumeh Rakhsha and writing to you regarding the last condition of Freudian Association.
I was in Africa Psychoanalytic Center on Tuesday June 14, 2016 at 10:15 AM, I was in waiting room for analyze. Someone knocked the door, secretary opened and I heard some suspicious dialog! I went to see what’s happening. They were a police woman and two inspectors of vice chancellor of treatment of Beheshti University and wanted to inspect Africa Psychoanalytic Center. Dr. Kadivar came and ask their ID. Cards. And found that the inspectors are the same inspectors that came to Africa Psychoanalytic Center 3 months ago for the same inspect. Dr. kadivar told them: you want to do the same inspecting again? It’s impossible. She told me, the other analysands and the secretary to call all members of Freudian Association to come here.
The inspectors called Dr. Kamranmanesh (the expert of affairs of clinics units in Beheshti University) and the police woman talked with him; “it doesn’t need to be worry; I’ll do that” police women said to Dr. Kamranmanesh!
Dr. Kadivar said: “oh, you get order from Dr. Kamranmanesh? You are a police officer and you do illegal! It’s illegal that you take order from Dr. Kamranmanesh! You do illegal.” She said: “no, no, I didn’t. I know rule, I know my job. You want to make a tense atmosphere.” Then she called to police station and ask 3 police man immediately. They came really fast!! The inspectors, 2 police man and the police women went to waiting room and started to take photo from phone book and bring out the folders from library cabinet. Dr. Kadivar with a police man were in main hall. I told to Dr. Kadivar that they are photographing our phone book and documents. She run to waiting room and shout “no, they don’t have permit, you shouldn’t do this…”
The police women bring me to main hall, force me to sit on a chair and put a handcuff on my hand with a handle of chair. I just could see that she (police women) put Dr. Kadivar in the corner of the room and they are bringing out the folders out, Dr. Kadivar just shouted: “you can’t do this. you don’t have permit to do this…” I bring out my hand from the handcuff like a bangle and gave the folders back from inspectors. The police women came to my side, she was really angry and astonished. She said to me “how do you bring out your hand?! How did you do this?! you are preventing the duty of police!! Its will be bad for you.”

I have to explain about events that happened these days for Freudian Association in Iran. On June 14, 2016, two inspectors from Vice- Chancellor’s Office in Treatment Affairs of the Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, accompanying a policewoman showed up in office of Freudian Association again. These two inspectors had come On March 9, 2016. According to events on March 2016 that we emailed for you; interrogator had told he sent a writ of summons for Dr. Kadivar but he didn’t sent anything. We have received our license from Ministry of Interior of Islamic Republic of Iran, as an NGO, and all of our activities here is based on our statute, so Ministry of Health and Medical Education is not authorized to control our activities. Dr. Kadivar requested to have a copy of search warrant but policewoman didn’t let them to give her. These two inspectors wanted to take books, documents and files of Freudian Association with themselves illegally. Some of Freudian Association prevented them to take these documents. Meanwhile two inspectors called to their chief, Dr. Kamran Manesh but in this moments two inspectors gave their cellphone to policewoman because Dr. Kamran Manesh wanted to speak with her. Policewoman told Dr. Kamran Manesh: “didn’t worry. I did this”!!! Policewoman was ordered from Dr. Kamran Manesh!!! Dr. Kadivar told policewoman ordering from Dr. Kamran Manesh is illegal. She must be neutral and impartial. Then policewoman called to police station and requested some policeman for taking Dr. Kadivar and some of Freudian Association to police station. All of Freudian Association members attended in police station but they didn’t let us to enter at first. In there they decided to send Dr. Kadivar and us to the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Medical Offences.

I found out inspectors of the ministry of health with a police officer went to the Freudian Association office where Dr. Kadiver works and want to shut it down. Dr. Kadivar with two members of the association who are analysis, inhibited. As soon as I arrived there, I saw they are taking Dr. Kadivar to police station. They wanted to separate Dr. Kadivar of members and stopped us to get in. We did not let it happen because we members of the Freudian association were aware this is following Dr. Kadivar’s forced hospitalization plan and they started fighting with us. At the end we said we are an association and we should stay together. Inside the police station Dr. Kadivar told us that they want physical removal once again. They wanted to transfer Dr. Kadivar to medical crimes court by herself but after our resistance they took her a long with analysant-pratician by police car to medical crimes court.
We went there ourselves.
Once again they wanted to separate us from Dr. Kadivar in medical crimes court. They wanted to handcuff Dr. Kadivar but we resisted so they attacked us. We recorded all the scenes by our phones. Police threatened to bring tear gas spray over and over. They hit us and they started to recording too.

As an analysand of Dr. Kadivar, I am so sorry to inform you about a truly catastrophic events which has recently happened to us. Here comes a summarized report about what happened:
around 10:40 am Three women came into the office of Dr.Kadivar (two from Ministry of Health and a third one from Police). Apparently they wanted to seal her office and seize her documents and properties! But she did not allow them do this.
After a quick tensed argument, all of us went to the police station and almost all of members joined us there. Afterwards, we went to the Medical Organization Court to protest these events. Then three of female members were arrested. Following our objections, me and two of male members were attacked and hardly beaten. Then, all of members were put in the jail!!. At the current time, we are released on bail.
We appreciate any kind of support from your side, as these kinds of happenings would not only harm the people, but also will dramatically offend science and humanity.

Following you may find what has happened within 14th , 15th June 2016 for Freudian Association.
As the text is long and may cause difficulty in loading, I also attach the file to email.
Following the matters of Ministry of Health and Mafia Psyche that we have informed you before, on 14th on June 2016, the same two inspections from “Vice chancellor in Treatment from University of Beheshty” (belongs to Ministry of Health) accompanying with a police woman came to Africa Psychoanalytic Center (the office of Freudian Association), for inspection. It worth saying that one of the inspections called her manager in “Vice chancellor in Treatment”, and transferred the line to the policewoman. She talked to him in a way that she’s familiar with him and assured the guy that his will, is going to be fulfilled! (And she really did her best until the last minute we were in Prosecutor’s Office for Medical Crimes, 15th of June 2016)
Dr. Kadivar mentioned that they have had the same inspection before. They told that they have lost their documents! So Dr. Kadivar didn’t let them the inspection.
The police officer called police station and asked for more police forces, and 3 policemen came. The inspectors took some photos from phonebook or list of analysands of Dr. Kadivar and were going to collect and take files, papers and note books of association that we prevented them. Then they took us 2 taxies and took us to the police station (Ganhi Police station. No 103). In police station they told that what we did in Africa Psychoanalytic Center is :
- Preventing the execution of verdict
- Preventing the execution of duties of officials
- creating a rally in front of police station
which none of them were correct. Other members who were not at the Africa Psychoanalytic Center, came to police station. While we were there, Dr. Kadivar mentioned that they have a second plan to eliminate her physically.
From police station, we were sent to “Prosecutor’s Office for Medical Crimes” in which “only medical related affairs” are considered and is not competence in inspecting and considering psychoanalysis affairs! Police car took Dr. Kadivar, Khadije Fadaii and Mahin Nasir there and other members went on their own.
While we were at entrance in Prosecutor’s Office for Medical Crimes, related person said Dr. Kadivar should go to interrogator’s office, alone. But we didn’t accept and said all members of Freudian Association are involved and we should come to his office, too. But they refused.
Then we asked them to tell us what is the verdict upon which police station has sent us to Prosecutor’s Office for Medical Crimes. But they didn’t respond and closed the entrance door behind us, so we were lucked there. Then we said “verdict! Verdict!” aloud.
They came to attack and handcuff Dr. Kadivar, but we prevented them so they beat us severely and took our photos and we also took photos from them.
They were doing their best to separate Dr. Kadivar from us to take her with themselves without any verdict! Shortly after that struggle they said that we can go to visit interrogator. So as it is a rule, we handed them our cellphones but while going to interrogator office they pushed us through the way very impolitely and when we questioned them and refused to go, they began to beat us by far more severely and harshly. Some other officers joined them, took 3 members of association, dragged them strongly on the ground to the lockup and threatened us with tear spray.
We asked them to free these 3 members, by saying loudly: “set them free”, “کل یوم عاشورا” (means: every day is A’shora [A’shora is the 10th day of Moharram [month of revenge of Lady Zeinab])
Meanwhile many other forces; men and women a lot of which were not wearing police uniform joined them and after a while separated 3 other members who were men, with force. They beat these members and dragged them so harshly that shirt of one of those members torn and they took them to different stairs.
Now they moved Dr. Kadivar and remained members to the door of lockup, a lot of officers were going and coming to make a decision: what to do. After a while they brought a van used for criminals; a car in which walls and ground were made of metal with no way for air transfer and told us to get in. We denied and asked for our cellphones, but they didn’t give them to us.
They were trying to put us and 3 locked up in the van forcefully, with shockers and sticks, there was an intense struggle between 14 of us and numerous forces of them! that even caused our clothes to be torn. They put all of us (except those guys in different stairs) in the car and just Dr. Kadivar and another members were out!
They took us to somewhere that latter on we understand that it is “Vozara [im]morality Police Station (FATEB [its Persian name is an abbreviation for: Police Commander of Great Tehran])”! And we didn’t know to where they wanted to take Dr. Kadivar.
Here police officers who took us from Prosecutor’s Office for Medical Crimes told us to go here’s lockup. We refused and asked for their reason and verdict, as we did neither moral crime, nor medical crime, and the responsible staff of police station didn’t accept to take us there as their field has nothing to do with medical crimes!
In the end we stayed in the yard and it was when we were trying to inform you that we have no information about Dr. Kadivar’s fate and they didn’t answer us in this regard.
After about 2 hours they brought Dr. Kadivar and the other member of association in handcuffs. She asked for some water to take her pill but some police officers wanted to move the atmosphere to a way that Dr. Kadivar is taking mental related pills; one asked: ”you want to start your fast?“ to pretend that Dr. Kadivar is not aware of what the time is now. (This is Ramadan month and some Muslim people begin a fast from before sunrise until sunset and it was about 2 hours before sunset.) The other said: “we should know what the pill you are taking, by the way!”
After that they separated Dr. Kadivar and her analysand- praticians: Khadije Fadaii, Marjan Mashhadi, Mansoureh Ardeshirzadeh and Mahin Nasir to another place in this police station.
2 men came (the next day we heard that one of them was Disciplinary Prosecutor of Prosecutor’s Office for Medical Crimes) and talked to them. They didn’t accept what 2 men said, and while Dr. Kadivar came out of room for a while, these men told analysand- praticians to write about what has happened. They still have not told us that they were from Prosecutor’s Office for Medical Crimes and not FATEB!!! In this way Prosecutor’s Office for Medical Crimes, complaints against Freudian Association and investigates itself but in the station of police!
After that, one of 2 men came to us and about our cellphones said that they wanted to check our cellphones if we have filmed what has happened in prosecutor’s office (and they still have our cellphones).
Then they said that the primary verdict for Dr. Kadivar and analysand – praticians is to put up a 20 million tomans guarantee for each, as collateral, what they did not accept, so they are not allowed to leave!
None of us knew about fate of those 3 separated members, we neither knew to where they wanted to take Dr. Kadivar and 4 other members of association. They detained rest of the members and kept us until 10:00 A.M. the next day (15.6.2016) when they handcuffed us, took us from Vozara to Prosecutor’s Office for Medical Crimes. Those 2 prosecutor’s office men in FATEB went to interrogators office and talked to him.
While he was talking to us he mentioned freely that psychoanalysis should be performed by psychiatrists and was encouraging us repeatedly to leave Dr. Kadivar and Freudian Association!!
They imputed us whatever they had committed themselves:
- Disturbing public order by creating a ruckus and rally at prosecutor’s office
- Participation in the destruction of public property (partition of prosecutor’s office)
- Insulting government officials while they were on duty
We denied them all. They freed us on 40 million tomans guarantee. And we don’t know what they imputed Dr. Kadivar and those 4 members.
Dr. Kadivar and analysand – praticians are taken to Shahre Rey Penitentiary (located in Tehran’s suburb: Gharchak), they called us several times. Mahin Nasir has told her family to be ready to do activities for a guarantee as collateral, for Saturday morning (18.6.2016).
They told that other members who were kept in Prosecutor’s Office for Medical Crimes, were freed but until now we have no news about them!
Please note that we are in contact with our juridical consultant, Mr. Etemad, who was involved and helped when Dr. Kadivar was hospitalized by force, in 2013.
Sorry if this email is very in detail. We want to focus on the fact that, as Dr. Kadivar is a psychoanalyst and doesn’t practice medicine so even if a “Disturbing public order “ happens , Prosecutor’s Office for Medical Crimes is not liable nor competence to attend. But now ministry of health, Babajan Vazir (minister of health) and Mafia Psyche are making a lot of effort to keep and take care of every, every part of this case in hands of Prosecutor’s Office for Medical Crimes.

Yesterday Dr. Kadivar mentioned a point to us: “Mafia of psyche have a second plan for physical elimination of her.”
The motives of this imprisonment is that they want psychiatrists to do the psychoanalysis and psychoanalysis be in hands of ministry of health. Dr. Kadivar is a general physician and can not do psychoanalysis. And the Africa Psychoanalytic Center in which a lot of patients (as they call analisands) come, is an illegal medical center, so should be closed down.
Their motives is following their man goal: “physical elimination of Dr. Kadivar”
